Solmex began as the system one heavy civil operation needed to keep 520 machines working, on a project where a spreadsheet per machine had stopped being enough. Every module in it exists because somebody on that site could not do their job without it.

About Solmex

We build it the way a workshop works.

Nothing here was specified in a meeting and then looked for a customer. Each module was built because a fitter, a storeman, a plant manager or an owner could not answer a question they were being asked. That is also why the boundaries are where they are: we stopped procurement at goods receipt rather than guess at invoice matching, and we refuse to show a figure we cannot stand behind.

One record per machine

Every service, fault, inspection, part, meter reading and cost hangs off one permanent asset record, and an asset is never deleted, only status-changed. That single decision is why the true cost of ownership of a machine is answerable years later instead of scattered across modules that each kept their own copy.

The gap is part of the answer

When a figure is not known, Solmex renders it as not known and says so in words, instead of filling it with a plausible guess. A machine that has never been inspected reads as never inspected rather than overdue; a report names the checks it cannot run. A number nobody can trust is worse than a blank, because somebody acts on it.

The people holding the spanner

The person reporting a fault is never the person you pay for. Work requesters are unlimited and free on every plan, including the free one, because a maintenance system is only worth what the field puts into it. Most products in this category charge per technician, which is exactly why so many of them are half deployed.

01Who is behind Solmex?

A small engineering team that came out of heavy civil construction rather than out of enterprise software. The product was built alongside a live 520 machine road project, which is why its deepest support is for plant that is serviced on hour meters and moved between sites. Company registration is in progress; the registered name, legal form, address and registration number are published on the Terms of Service page as soon as it completes, and we would rather leave that blank today than put a placeholder on it.

02Is Solmex only for construction?

No, and it is not a construction product with other sectors bolted on. The register, the work order, the checklist, the part and the cost line are identical in a factory, a hotel, a residential complex and an equipment fleet; only the vocabulary changes. Seventeen sectors have their own page. Construction is simply where it was proven hardest first.

03How often does Solmex change?

Continuously, and every change ships to every customer at once because everybody runs the same application. There is no version you are left behind on and no upgrade project. New modules appear on the plan they belong to, and the pricing page is the list of what is on which plan.

04Why is the site in Turkish as well as English?

Because the two are not a translation layer over one another. The whole site and the whole application exist in Turkish at their own addresses, and the product was built for operations where the office language and the yard language are different. A system a technician cannot read is a system a technician does not use.
