Frequently asked questions

Where do the cost figures come from?
From the work records themselves. A fuel entry and a spare parts issue each post their own cost line as they happen, tied to the asset and, where there is one, the work order. Costs Solmex does not see, such as labour, rental or an outside repair, are entered by hand in the same ledger.
What happens if a cost is entered wrongly?
A manual entry can be corrected, and any entry can be voided with a reason. A voided entry is kept on the record with who voided it and why, and it no longer counts in any total. Automatic rows follow their source: correcting a fuel entry updates its cost row rather than adding a second one.
Can we see costs in our own currency?
Yes. You set your company's base currency once, and every cost is recorded and shown in it. Some screens also offer a US dollar view that converts figures for reading only, and it never changes the amounts stored in the ledger.
Which plan includes costs?
