Machines move between sites, change projects, go off hire and come back with a different attachment on the front. The record does not restart when any of that happens: the hours, the services, the faults and the costs stay attached to the machine for its whole life.
Fleet and heavy equipment
Services sit on the manufacturer's fixed grid: 250, 500, 750, 1000. A 250 hour service logged late at 285 hours still leaves the next one due at 500, so one late job never re-phases the whole programme. Trucks are judged on kilometres at the same time, and the two verdicts stay separate.
Hire status is a property of the machine, not a separate list somebody maintains. An off-hire date sits on the record beside the service history, so nobody services a machine that goes back next week.
A breaker or a bucket carries its own record, its own hours and its own costs, and links to whatever host it is mounted on today. Take it off and the history goes with it, not with the excavator.
Every fill is compared against that machine's own burn rate and its tank size. A figure that cannot be true is questioned at the pump, which is the only moment anybody can still explain it.
