  • A machine without a tracker still moves on the map; any recorded sighting (an inspection, a fuel entry, routine work) repositions it.

Machines shown where they were last seen

Without a tracker, a machine moves on the map when someone records seeing it: an inspection, a fuel entry, routine work or a logged location. With a GPS tracker, its positions place it.

Track

A machine's day, with GPS

With a tracker connected, open a machine's day track: where it went, where it stopped and for how long. Gaps in the signal are drawn as gaps, never filled in.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Is Live Map included in every plan?
No. Live Map is not part of the self-serve plans. It is switched on per customer, on request. Ask for it when you book a demo and we will enable it for your account and help you set up your first site plan from a drawing or a KMZ file.
Do we need GPS trackers?
No. Without trackers, a machine is placed by the last record that saw it: an inspection, a fuel entry, routine maintenance or a location somebody logged. The newest record wins, so an entry typed up late never moves a machine backwards. Trackers add continuous positions on top of that.
Which GPS systems can connect?
Tell us which GPS tracking provider you use and we will tell you whether Solmex supports it. Most tracking platforms can be connected, and we set up the connection with you.
How accurate are the distance and stop figures?
They are stated for what they are. Distance is straight lines between GPS positions, so it is shown as a minimum. A stop is the machine staying within 40 metres for five minutes, which is not the same as engine off. A gap of more than fifteen minutes is shown as no signal and counted as neither distance nor time.
